Transition Update | Roadmap

Led by our valiant Transition Committee, St. Michael's has embarked on a period of parish self-study to confirm, clarify, and articulate our parish identity. The parish survey, history day, meetings, and discussions we now undertake with the Transition Committee’s guidance prompt us to ask, “What really works well at St. Michael’s and how can we get more of it?”

The results of this self-reflection will be summarized in the parish profile, which provides a description of who and what St. Michael’s treasures, our goals for the future, and what qualities we seek in a new rector. A good Profile honestly presents our strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures. The Profile is what potential candidates for our Rectorship review to see if their ministry goals map to ours.

The transition and search process is specifically designed to take us all along on a journey of hope and discovery. With trust in God, and the contribution of all our voices, St. Michael’s will navigate this journey with grace and open hearts.
