Letter from the Wardens
August 26, 2022
Excitement, Sadness, and Transition Dear Fellow Vestry Members: We wanted to share some exciting yet some sad news as we transition through the balance of 2022. Our search committee has submitted their Rector nominees to the diocese for their final background check, so we should be able to finish our selection and calling of a new Rector before the end of the year. What a truly great way to begin the new liturgical year and the “expectation” of Advent. Many thanks to our committee for their diligent hard work in moving this along so quickly. The sad news is that our Interim Rector Susan, will be leaving us on September 18th. While a bit earlier than anticipated due to family situations and responsibilities; we knew that there would be a transition period when we call our new Rector. Words are not adequate to express the care, love, and guidance that Susan has brought to our parish and the community at large. When we think about the last few years and all of the challenges it has brought, we are so thankful that Susan was our leader and guide. We can only wish her the same love and care to her and her family that she showed us. We are working with the staff to complete the fall schedule with all the excitement, joy, and anticipation that this season brings to us and the parish. Thank you for your leadership during this time as we embark on the new journey that God has for us, our parish, and most importantly for His love in this world. Louise and Jim |
