Finance Update 2021 Q2
Dear Friends in Christ,
This summer as we begin to assume some aspects of a normal life, we are mindful of the many things we have had to sacrifice or alter during these last 16 months of COVD. We must not forget those who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a loved one or those still battling the lingering effects of this terrible disease. As Christians we continue to hold in our prayers all those who are struggling with hardships wherever they are maybe.
Here at St. Michael’s, we are also aware of the many things we have gained during this most challenging time. Many parishioners are experiencing the joy of being together on Sunday morning after months of isolation. With the dedication of our excellent tech team, parishioners unable to join us in-person on Sunday can participate via Zoom during our hybrid services. We have resumed our Tuesday morning service that is followed by a robust coffee hour, reminding us how vital it is to be part of a faith community. We are thrilled to have our children back in Sunday school and soon they will participate in confirmation class and Vacation Bible School. Many of the outside groups that use our gym are back in full swing, reminding us of St. Michael’s role in serving our larger community. One of things we have gained recently is a new refrigerator-freezer after the old one finally gave out. Any contributions toward the purchase of this important appliance are greatly appreciated as we look forward to more opportunities of being together to celebrate our life in Christ together.
