Announcing the 9/11 Commemorative Red Cross Blood Drive
Monday, September 11, 8am to 2pm in Michael’s Room
St. Mike’s is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive to commemorate 9/11 with a positive, communal activity.
While there are some health restrictions, most people over 18 years of age and 100lbs can give! Feeling good on the day is all that is required. Eat regularly, bring your current legal ID and HYDRATE! That’s it.
If you are restricted as a donor, why not volunteer? Critical to the efficiency of the Blood Drive, volunteers typically do a one-hour shift to greet donors.
The need for safe blood products is constant. In fact, blood is used every two to three minutes in America, not only in emergency situations but in intensive care, the NICU, and for patients in treatment for many illnesses such as cancer.
One hour of your day and one pint of your blood affects three people in need.
To make an appointment, visit https://redcrossblood.org and enter the code LES.
Why not….? Give an hour, Give a pint, Volunteer for an hour?
